What that means when you play​

Build the bathroom first. The Hygiene drain is constant and unavoidable, and a Perfectionist in a house with one shared bathroom will queue behind everyone else. Since December 2025 furniture performance scales with price, so a better shower genuinely restores Hygiene faster, which matters more for this trait than any other.

Frequent Nervousness costs Performance skill gain and drains Energy faster. Combined with the Hygiene tax, this is a comparatively high-maintenance Zoi.

Short-lived Surprise is a minor upside that pairs oddly well with the current game. Between the burglar break-in event from October 2025, natural disasters, and house fires, there's plenty to be startled by, and a Perfectionist shakes it off quickly.

  • Bank and administrative rabbit hole roles.
  • A Perfectionist makes an excellent business employee on cleaning and repair duties, since the trait already pushes them toward tidiness.

Bookworm suits the methodical profile.

Workaholic, from December 2025, fits the diligent framing and pushes toward a career where the trait pays off.

Slacker is the direct contradiction, and since Slacker Zois may leave plates and books lying around, you'd have a Zoi who creates the mess that upsets them.

Ambitions that fit​

Stay Healthy matches well, including the Neat Freak goal, which reads like it was written for this trait. Knowledge and Learning suits the rational keywords. Career Success works given the Accomplishment value.

The honest weakness​

Two drains and no bonuses. There's no relationship advantage, no skill boost, no need saving anywhere. The Perfectionist is a flavour trait more than a strong one, and you're paying Hygiene and Nervousness for a personality rather than an edge. Play it because you want the character, not because it wins.
