inZOI Troublemaker Trait
Troublemaker is one of three traits introduced by the v0.4.0 mentality rework on October 30, 2025, replacing Entertainer.
Every Entertainer Zoi in every save was converted automatically on load. There's no prompt and no way to decline. If a cheerful, sociable Zoi came back from an update with a different personality, this is what happened. How to change it is at the bottom.
Where it came from
The October update merged traits, characteristics, ambitions and urges into a single system. Three traits with overlapping personalities were removed and three new ones took their slots.

Of the three conversions, this one is the least disruptive. Entertainer was already the free-spirited, scatterbrained personality, so Troublemaker is a shift in emphasis rather than a reversal.
What's confirmed
Krafton published detailed effect tables for the original 18 traits and never did the same for the three added in October. What the patch notes establish:

- Works with
setTrait, which accepts all 18 traits and 15 characteristics.
Emotion tendencies and gauge modifiers appear on the Zoi Card in game. That's the reliable source, and we'd rather point you at it than publish guesses.
Note that unlike Rulebreaker, Troublemaker has not been named as a condition that unlocks crime interactions, despite the name suggesting it might. The documented unlocks are Rulebreaker, the Malicious characteristic, poverty with debt, and severe family stress.
What the conversion cost
Entertainer had a fast-draining Social gauge, which made it demanding to keep happy, and short-lived Concentration, which made skill grinding slow. Losing both is arguably an improvement, so this is the one conversion where players generally came out ahead.
What you lost is the frequent Amused baseline, which boosted Performance skill gain.
If you want the old playstyle back
- Socialite is the closest match, building relationships with anyone easily, enjoying conversation, and frequently feeling Excited.
- Adventurer covers the thrill-seeking side with a slow Energy drain instead of a fast Social one.
- Mediator offers easy sociability at a calmer pace.
How to change it

Find the Zoi ID with showZoiInfo true. Full details on the cheats page.
Converted saves also had two characteristics assigned at random, so check what your Zoi ended up with while you're there.
Update history
- October 30, 2025. v0.4.0 added Troublemaker and converted all Entertainer Zois to it.
- June 19, 2026. v0.9.0 made traits drift on their own when a Zoi repeatedly acts against them, so a well-behaved Troublemaker may not stay one.
