inZOI Collaborator Trait
Collaborator no longer exists in inZOI. It was removed on October 30, 2025 in the v0.4.0 update, and every Collaborator Zoi in every save was converted automatically.

The rest of this page is kept for reference, because plenty of guides and videos still describe Collaborator as though it exists.
The Collaborator no longer exists. It was removed in the v0.4.0 update on October 30, 2025, and every Collaborator Zoi was automatically converted to the new Rulebreaker trait.
This conversion has a consequence the others don't, and it's worth knowing about. Rulebreaker is one of the conditions that unlocks crime interactions, added in December 2025. A safety-oriented, belonging-focused Zoi was turned into one the game considers a candidate for theft and fraud.
What happened
October's mentality rework folded traits, characteristics, ambitions and urges into a single system, removing three traits and adding three.

Two months later, v0.5.0 shipped the Crime skill and made Rulebreaker one of the three routes into it. The other two are owning 2,000 Mew or less while struggling with debt, and holding the Malicious characteristic.
So if you loaded an old save after December 2025 and found a previously mild Zoi being offered lockpicking and voice phishing options, this chain is why.

Effects
- Placed importance on activities that create a sense of belonging
- Struggled to make decisions independently

- Worried feeling lasted for a longer time
- Built friendships and family relationships easily
- Enjoyed talking about friendship
Building both friendships and family relationships easily was a strong combination, and only Mediator and Socialite now cover comparable ground.
What to pick instead
- Sentinel is the closest match, keeping the Diligent and Prudent tagline, the safety-first outlook and the family relationship bonus.
- Mediator builds relationships with anyone easily, which covers both halves of what Collaborator did.
- Dreamer keeps the calm, Content-heavy emotional profile.
Changing a converted Zoi
If you'd rather your Zoi wasn't flagged for a life of crime, change the trait:
setTrait [ZoiID] [TraitID] [CharacteristicID] [CharacteristicID]
Run showZoiInfo true first for the Zoi ID. Details on the cheats page.
Check the characteristics while you're there. Converted saves had two assigned at random, and if one of them is Malicious your Zoi has a second crime unlock independent of the trait.
Update history
- March 28, 2025. Early Access launched with Collaborator among the original 18 traits.
- October 30, 2025. v0.4.0 removed it and converted existing Zois to Rulebreaker.
- December 23, 2025. v0.5.0 made Rulebreaker an unlock condition for the Crime skill, retroactively changing what that conversion means.
- June 19, 2026. v0.9.0 made traits drift naturally based on behaviour.
