inZOI: Island Getaway DLC
inZOI: Island Getaway is the game's first DLC, released on August 20, 2025 alongside the v0.3.0 update. It adds the resort region of Cahaya and a set of island-themed items.
It's completely free
Island Getaway costs nothing. Krafton confirmed all content released during the Early Access period — including this DLC — is free to owners of the base game.
How to install it
The install path depends on where you own the game:
| Platform | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Steam (Windows or Mac) | Install it manually from the DLC's Steam store page. It does not download automatically with the base game. |
| Mac App Store | Included automatically when you download inZOI — no separate step. |
What the DLC adds
- Cahaya — a Southeast Asian resort region with a main island and a resort island. It's a travel destination, not a place to live: your Zois keep their home in Dowon or Bliss Bay and visit via City Trips.
- 49 character items in a bohemian summer style — swimwear, accessories, hats and more, detailed here.
- Resort-themed building items with a natural flair.
- Cahaya-specific activities, including the Turtlebot Race at the Cahaya Resort and island-based gem collecting.
What's not DLC — the free v0.3.0 update
This is the part that causes confusion. Most of the headline features from August arrived in the base v0.3.0 update, which every player receives regardless of the DLC:
- City Trips — travelling between cities. The system is free; only travel to Cahaya requires the DLC.
- Swimming and snorkelling, plus the new Swimming skill.
- Fishing, farming, and mining & jewel crafting (Handiwork and Collecting skills).
- Natural disasters — dust storms, heavy rain, heat waves.
- Loans, insurance, budgeting, market stands, and the Resale Store.
- 14 new vehicles, including motorcycles and electric scooters.
- 56 additional character items, listed here.
- Swimming pools and elevators in Build Mode.
In short: the systems are free, the destination is the DLC.
Requirements and caveats
- You'll likely want a new save. Several v0.3.0 features — fishing, mining and jewel crafting, and the Family Collection Log — only work in games started fresh, and the team warned before launch that city expansions and updated systems don't apply correctly to existing saves.
- Mac support arrived in the same update, though some Windows features weren't fully supported at launch. Check the system requirements for Mac specs.
- Mods are disabled automatically whenever a patch is applied, including DLC updates. Re-enable them afterwards — see the modding guide.
