The August update is comfortably the largest inZOI has had. Alongside the free inZOI: Island Getaway DLC, v0.3.0 brings the game to Mac, lets Zois travel between cities, and adds swimming, fishing, farming, mining, loans, insurance and 14 vehicles. It went live on August 20, 2025.

inZOI is now playable on Mac

The headline platform change: inZOI runs on Mac from this update, via Steam and the Mac App Store. If you already own the game on Windows, you can play on Mac at no extra cost. See our system requirements page for the Mac specs.

The Island Getaway DLC

The free DLC is out. On Steam you need to install it from the store page; on the App Store it's included automatically when you download inZOI.

City Trips

Zois are no longer tied to one city. Use a smartphone or computer and pick "How to travel to another city", or take the airport shuttle or seaplane.

Cahaya requires the DLC

Travel to Cahaya specifically needs inZOI: Island Getaway installed. The other cities don't.

New activities

• Swimming — in pools and the ocean, building a new Swimming skill. Low energy can lead to drowning, so watch the meter.
• Snorkelling — dive to meet marine life and find collectibles, within a bounded area.
• Fishing — a new skill; better rods improve rare catches, and fish can be displayed in tanks.
• Farming — place farming plots in Build Mode, then grow crops with watering cans and rakes to cook with or sell.
• Mining & jewel crafting — new Handiwork and Collecting skills. Gather raw gemstones around the city and cut them into jewels at a crafting table.
• Natural disasters — dust storms, heavy rain, and heat waves can hit the whole city, cancelling schedules, damaging crops, and causing accidents.

Money and property

• Loans — take a mortgage on your first home, repayable with interest by smartphone. High-interest private lenders exist too, and failure to repay can trigger forced collection.
• Insurance — buy life, natural disaster, or property cover from the insurance website.
• Budget — track household income and expenses in the Budget app.
• Market stand — set up a stall and sell to customers who show up.
• Resale Store — deliver crops, fish, and minerals, or buy items. Delivery prices change daily, so timing matters.

Vehicles

14 new vehicles, including motorcycles and electric scooters, bought through the Dream Car app. Three new Hyundai models join the lineup — Staria Lounge, IONIQ 9, and the All-New NEXO — and used cars are now available at roughly half price.

Emotions and relationships

• Emotion GUI overhaul — expressions, emotion icons and levels are far easier to read, with new status indicators.
• Thought balloons appear above Zois during conversations, showing their inner reactions.
• Collaborative actions — Zois can eat meals or play games together.
• Romance deepened — one-sided crushes, love confessions, obsessions, and divorce, with trait-based outcomes.
• Conversations now branch into 2–3 possible results, with fewer forced negative exchanges, and Zois pause when clicked instead of walking off mid-conversation.
• Newly created Zois no longer get preferences assigned automatically, and start with lower trait values.

Building also gained swimming pools and elevators, and the city simulation was widened so crowds appear throughout with their own purposes.

Several features need a new save

Fishing, mining and jewel crafting, and the Family Collection Log are all flagged as new-game only, and the team warned in advance that city expansions and updated systems won't work correctly on existing saves.
