Known Issues Ahead of the August 20 Update

High priority issues in the August 20 update

A day before Island Getaway launches, the inZOI team published an unusually candid heads-up: three known problems shipping with the update rather than being discovered after it.

Translation quality

The volume of content in this update made it difficult to keep translation quality consistent across all languages. Work continues on term consistency, coherence, and UI readability. You can check localisation progress per language under Settings → Gameplay.

Some features need a new save

This is the big one. Due to compatibility issues, some new features and content won't be available on existing save files — including city expansions and updated systems, which only work properly on new saves.

The team apologised and said it will work toward better backward compatibility in future updates.

Worth planning around

If you want the full Cahaya and v0.3.0 experience, expect to start a new game. Several features in the update carry the same restriction individually.

Mac support is incomplete at launch

Some features available in the Windows version may not be fully supported on Mac when the update lands. Hotfixes are planned afterwards to bring both platforms to the same quality — relevant given Mac support arrives in this very update.
