Kjun's Letter: meet the team at the inZOI MeetUp

With monsoon season underway in Korea, Kjun's latest letter is a short one — the team is deep in preparation for gamescom in August and development on Cahaya. The news is an in-person event: the inZOI MeetUp, where Creators can meet and talk with the inZOI Team face to face.

The MeetUp

Registration opens on July 4, 2025 — the same day the letter went live. The team was upfront that it won't be able to invite everyone, but hopes to see as many Creators as possible.

Kjun gave two reasons for holding it:

  • To personally thank the Creators who have supported inZOI through its journey so far.
  • To gather feedback directly. With roughly 90 days since the Early Access release, Kjun said he'd had time to reflect on whether the team truly understood what players wanted — and recent conversations with Partner Creators, plus wider community feedback, had highlighted areas they may have overlooked.

The stated goal is to hear that kind of feedback firsthand and let it shape the direction of development and future updates.

Reading between the lines

The framing here is notable. Rather than a straightforward promotional event, Kjun positions the MeetUp as a correction exercise — an admission that three months into Early Access, the team wants to re-check its assumptions about what players actually want. That follows a run of updates increasingly driven by community feedback, from the June update's relationship and family changes to the emotional expression work still in progress.
