inZOI Character Values Overview: Personality Traits, Decision Making, and Relationships

Values in inZOI are a core system representing the fundamental beliefs and principles that guide your Zoi's behavior, decisions, and interactions. Think of them as the moral compass and foundational philosophy shaping how your Zois perceive the world and their place within it. These values dynamically evolve throughout your Zoi's life, influenced by their experiences, actions, and the choices you help them make.

Understanding and managing your Zoi's Values is key to shaping their personality, influencing their relationships, and guiding their life path towards their ambitions and desired life.

How Values Work

Values begin to form during childhood and become more defined as your Zoi grows. Here's how they function:

  • Initial Values: When you create a Zoi (starting from Young Adult), their chosen Trait and optional Desired Life provide a starting baseline for their Values. Certain Traits naturally align with specific Values, giving your Zoi a head start in those areas.
  • Dynamic Evolution: Values are not static. They change over time based on your Zoi's actions, interactions, and significant life events. Consistently performing actions aligned with a certain value (like helping others for Coexistence or pursuing goals for Accomplishment) will strengthen that value. Conversely, acting against a value may weaken it.
  • Value Thresholds: Reaching 60 points in a specific Value unlocks new, unique interactions and potential Urges related to that value. This allows Zois with strong convictions to express them more directly in their gameplay.

Impact on Gameplay

Values significantly influence various aspects of your Zoi's life:

  • Decision Making & Personality: Values shape your Zoi's autonomous behavior and the choices they make when faced with different situations or dialogue options. A Zoi high in Rule-Abiding might avoid conflict, while one high in Challenger might seek out new experiences.
  • Relationships: Shared or conflicting values between Zois can impact how easily they form bonds or experience friction. Your Zois might naturally gravitate towards others who share their core beliefs.
  • Unlocked Interactions: As mentioned, reaching 60 points in a Value unlocks special interactions. Examples include:
    • Coexistence (60+): Ability to interact with cats, use natural detergent.
    • Challenger (60+): Ability to "Post a Selfie on Social Media", "Talk About Challenges" urge interactions.
    • Rule-Abiding (60+): Ability to "Search for Legal Information" on a tablet.
    • Traditionalist (60+): Ability to "Study Tarot Interpretation".
    • Autonomy (60+): Ability to "Enjoy Music Alone".
  • Urges: Your Zoi's dominant Values influence the types of random, short-term goals (Urges) they receive, guiding their daily desires and rewarding you with Meow Coins upon fulfillment.
