With the ModKit now due in mid-June, the inZOI team is collecting community questions about modding in a dedicated AMA — and has opted for a written format rather than a live session, saying it wants the answers to be accurate and detailed.
The schedule
- Questions open: May 29, 2025, 06:00 UTC
- Questions close: June 1, 2025, 00:00 UTC
- Answers published: June 9, 2025, 08:00 UTC — on Discord, Steam, and the official website
Submissions go through a Google Form linked from the announcement (inzoi.me/AMA_ModKit). The team says it will respond to the most frequently asked and notable questions rather than every individual submission.
What they're looking for
The announcement lists six question categories:
- ModKit feature inquiries
- Mod item suggestions
- Community guidelines
- Future support for mod creators
- Language and accessibility
- Other
They also asked players to avoid three things: extremely vague questions that are hard to answer usefully, anything containing inappropriate or offensive language, and questions that run against inZOI's modding policy.
Why it matters
The timing is notable — this AMA sits between the schedule change that pushed modding to mid-June and the ModKit's actual release. Kjun's letter had already acknowledged "misconceptions" circulating about how the ModKit works, so a written Q&A is a reasonable way to clear up the remaining unknowns before launch, particularly around what will and won't be moddable at the start. Scripting, for instance, has already been confirmed as not part of the initial release.
