The first substantial cleanup pass on v0.4.0 landed on November 4, 2025, addressing a week's worth of reports about the Halloween events, funerals, and MY Textures.

Improvements

• Dirt builds up more naturally on clothes and furniture.
• "Plan Funeral" can now be triggered while carrying an urn.
• Thieves now flee when caught mid-"Pick Door Lock" — the burglar event added in v0.4.0 previously had them stand their ground.
• Ghosts can sit on chairs.

Bug fixes

• Fixed MY Textures disappearing in game when applied to certain tops and bottoms, and appearing too dark on roof exteriors. Also fixed odd shadows on platform sides and crashes when applying MY Textures to accessories.
• Fixed family members including newborns and infants being able to move residences.
• Fixed Zois still thanking you after already receiving a gift during Housewarming, and "Send Thank-You Letter" expectations being impossible to fulfil.
• Fixed the Trick or Treat event being able to trigger simultaneously, and children not returning home after it ended.
• Fixed schedules not registering after accepting a meeting invitation.
• Fixed Scripted Actions in date events not playing in sequence, and the Next button in social events not responding.
• Fixed NPCs and ghost Zois not appearing at the new funeral home lot on "Continue" saves.
• Fixed the Zoom In/Out shortcut in Build Mode.
• Fixed broken child animations on "Laugh Like It's Halloween".
• Fixed occasional crashes when rendering FX.
• (Mac App Store only) Fixed being unable to log into Canvas via the in-game browser, and the Halloween Event lobby banner leading to the wrong page.
• (Mac only) Fixed clothing overlapping visually when switching from separates to a full outfit.
