Hours after v0.4.0 went out, the inZOI team followed it with a small hotfix on October 30, 2025 — plus a warning that's arguably more important than the fixes themselves.

Bug fixes

• Fixed interactions already in progress being automatically cancelled when a new Zoi entered the property.
• Fixed the automatic mod deactivation feature not working after the update — the safety mechanism that turns mods off when a patch lands.

Careful with the "Sync Your Mods" popup

The team also flagged a common question from the v0.4.0 launch. Download a Canvas creation that includes mods, then open the Mod Browser, and a "Sync Your Mods" popup appears.

Click Cancel

Proceeding with the sync can remove mods installed via Canvas rather than CurseForge. Click Cancel when the popup appears.

This is a side effect of the new CurseForge auto-install added in v0.4.0 — the browser treats your CurseForge subscriptions as the source of truth and prunes anything else.
