Property System Changes in v0.7.0: Standardized Lot Sizes

· 2 min read

inZOI property system updates

Ahead of the March 26 update, the inZOI team has issued a warning worth reading if you build: property sizes are being standardized, and two lots are getting smaller.

What's changing

Standardized property dimensions bring three benefits:

  • Buildings become reusable across properties of the same size.
  • Dimensions and orientation are shown clearly, making presets easier to judge before downloading.
  • A new Property Size filter on Canvas for browsing and downloading presets.

The catch — two lots are shrinking

Buildings that no longer fit their property may fail to load properly.

PropertyOld sizeNew size
Dowon — Junghwa Parkville25.5 × 20 m25 × 20 m
Bliss Bay — 203 Somerset Place30 × 26 m30 × 25 m

One lot goes the other way: Bliss Bay — 8 Beachfront Drive expands from 22.5 × 15 m to 25 × 20 m. If you had a lot preset placed there, you may need to reposition it after rotation.

Every other property is being expanded or rearranged, and presets based on those are unaffected.

What to do

  • Save your existing builds as property presets before the update. They can be reapplied afterwards.
  • All property presets are saved automatically — no action needed for that part.
  • Anything that fails to load after the update can be reapplied in Build Mode.

Realistically, only builds on the two shrinking lots are at risk. But if you've spent serious time on a Junghwa Parkville or Somerset Place build, take the preset first. See our lot types page for how properties work generally.
