inZOI Game Platforms & Release Versions

inZOI, the ambitious next-generation life simulation developed by Krafton using Unreal Engine 5, launched into Early Access primarily targeting the PC platform. Understanding where you can currently play inZOI and what future platform releases are planned is key for prospective players.

When is inZOI Coming Out on PC?

inZOI officially entered Early Access on March 28, 2025, following a brief free inZOI demo phase focused on creation tools. During this Early Access phase, the game is available for purchase and play primarily on PC, allowing the developers to gather feedback and refine the experience before a full 1.0 launch.

How Much Is inZOI?

inZOI is priced at $39.99 USD during its Early Access based on the game's current development status and the value of the content available. The price may vary depending on your region, with some regions offering lower prices to account for local market conditions and purchasing power. The price may also change when the game exits Early Access and reaches its full 1.0 release. All DLC released during the Early Access period will be free for game owners.

Officially Supported Platforms (Early Access)

As of its Early Access launch, you can officially play inZOI on the following platforms:

  1. PC (via Steam):

  2. Steam Deck:

    • Compatibility: Krafton has confirmed that inZOI is compatible and playable on the Steam Deck handheld gaming device.
    • Optimization: Developers have mentioned testing the game on the Deck and utilizing its custom key mapping capabilities to enhance the experience, although users might need to adjust graphics settings for optimal performance given the hardware.
    • See Steam Deck Compatibility Details
  3. NVIDIA GeForce NOW:

    • Cloud Gaming: For players whose PCs don't meet the minimum requirements, inZOI is officially supported on NVIDIA's GeForce NOW cloud gaming service.
    • How it Works: You stream the game from NVIDIA's powerful servers to your device.
    • Requirements: You must own the game on Steam first, have a GeForce NOW account (free or paid tiers), and maintain a strong, stable internet connection. Performance depends heavily on your internet speed and latency.

Future Platform Releases (Planned)

Krafton has confirmed plans to expand inZOI to consoles after the PC Early Access period.

  • Consoles (PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X|S):
    • Status: Confirmed, Not Yet Available.
    • Details: Native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are planned. The development focus will shift to these platforms following the PC Early Access phase.
    • Timeline: While no specific date is set, the console release is generally anticipated for late 2025 or early 2026.
    • See Console Release Info

Unsupported Platforms

Due to technical limitations or strategic focus, the following platforms are not officially supported and are unlikely to receive native versions:

  • Previous-Generation Consoles (PS4 / Xbox One):

    • Status: Not Planned.
    • Reason: The game's high graphical fidelity and complex simulations powered by Unreal Engine 5 exceed the hardware capabilities of these older consoles.
  • Mac (macOS):

    • Status: No Native Version Planned.
    • Details: Krafton has only listed Windows 10/11 as supported PC operating systems.
    • Workarounds: While unofficial methods exist (like using Boot Camp on older Intel Macs, or compatibility layers like Whisky/CrossOver on Apple Silicon Macs), these are not officially supported by Krafton. Performance, stability, and compatibility can vary greatly and may require significant technical setup. See Playing on Mac Guide
  • Nintendo Switch:

    • Status: Not Planned.
    • Reason: Similar to previous-gen consoles, the Nintendo Switch hardware cannot handle the demanding requirements of inZOI.
  • Mobile (iOS / Android):

    • Status: No Native Version Planned.
    • Details: A direct port to mobile devices is highly unlikely due to hardware limitations, storage requirements, and control scheme challenges.
    • Workarounds: Playing via Cloud Gaming Services (like Boosteroid, Shadow PC) or Remote Play (Steam Link from your own PC) are the only ways to experience the PC version on mobile devices. See Playing on iOS Guide / Playing on Android Guide

Release Versions and Future Updates

  • Current Version: Early Access (Launched March 28, 2025)
  • Full Release (1.0): The date for the full release out of Early Access has not yet been announced. It will depend on development progress and community feedback.
  • Updates: Regular updates, including hotfixes and major content additions, are planned throughout the Early Access period.
  • DLC: All DLC released during the Early Access phase (including the Kucingku Cat Island city) is planned to be free for game owners. Pricing models for content released after the full 1.0 launch have not been detailed.

In summary, while PC gamers (including Steam Deck and GeForce NOW users) can enjoy inZOI now during Early Access, console players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will need to wait for the official release planned after the Early Access period concludes. Other platforms are currently unsupported for a native experience.
