Can You Rob a Bank in inZOI?

Given the depth of simulation and the inclusion of criminal careers and karma systems in inZOI, players might wonder if traditional heist activities like bank robbery are possible. Here's what we know about robbing banks and related financial crimes in the game.

Does inZOI Have Physical Bank Robbery?​

As of the Early Access launch, there is no mechanic for physically robbing a bank in the traditional sense (e.g., walking in, demanding money, escaping). While cities like Dowon and Bliss Bay have bank buildings (Narae Bank, Southwest Bank), interactions there are limited to standard financial services like opening accounts, making deposits, or getting loans.

Criminal careers like Gangster or Street Soldier exist, but their tasks (as currently known) focus on activities like turf wars, shakedowns, or managing illicit operations rather than bank heists.

How to Hack a Bank via Computer in inZOI (High Skill Required)​

You can, however, attempt to steal money from banks virtually through hacking:

  • Method: Using a Computer.
  • Requirement: Requires Programming Skill Level 10. This is a high-level skill, making this a late-game criminal activity.
  • Action: Interact with a computer, select "Skill Action," then choose "Hack into Bank".
  • Process: Your Zoi will perform the hacking action. Afterwards, a pop-up event will appear, forcing you to decide whether to Continue the hack or Abort.
  • Outcomes:
    • Success (Continue): You successfully steal 1,000 Meow.
    • Failure (Continue): You fail the hack and receive a fine, losing Meow (e.g., 500 Meow).
    • Abort: You stop the hack attempt with no gain or loss.
  • Cooldown: This action can only be attempted once every 3 in-game days.

How to do ATM Hacking in inZOI (High Risk, Low Reward)​

Another related criminal activity is hacking ATMs found throughout the city.

  • Method: Interacting directly with an ATM machine.
  • Requirements:
    • Bad or Terrible Karma: This interaction is locked behind negative karma levels.
    • Programming Skill: Some level is likely required, though the exact level isn't specified.
  • Risks: ATM hacking is extremely risky!
    • Electrocution: There's a random chance of fatal electrocution upon failure. Save your game before attempting!
    • Arrest: Failing the hack (even if not electrocuted) can lead to being arrested by police and sent to jail.
  • Reward: If successful, you only gain 250 Meow.

Conclusion: Is Robbing Banks Worth It?​

  • Physical Robbery: Not possible currently.
  • Bank Hacking (Computer): Requires maximum Programming skill, has a cooldown, and the reward (1000 Meow) is decent but not game-changing compared to high-level career salaries or selling high-quality creative works. Failure results in a fine.
  • ATM Hacking: Extremely risky (death, jail) for a very small reward (250 Meow). Generally considered not worth the risk as a primary money-making strategy.

While you can virtually "rob" banks via hacking in inZOI, it's presented as a high-skill or high-risk, low-reward activity rather than a lucrative criminal enterprise like in some other games. Legitimate careers or creative skill hustles remain far more reliable and less dangerous ways to earn Meow.
